The funeral from Mrs. James Norris was held yesterday from the home of her son C. O. Norris, North Thompson street and was attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends. Rev. J. V. Adams preached the sermon.

Mrs Martha Ann Norris, daughter of Joseph and Jane Caldwell, was born at Cunvensville, Penna. September 6, 1848, and passed away at her home in Edgar, Nebraska, Saturday, December 18, 1926, aged 78 years, 3 months and 12 days. She was united in marriage in 1865 to James R Norris. To this union were born thirteen children, nine of whom survive to mourn the loss of their mother, together with one sister, Mrs Nan Aikens of Erie, Kansas and one brother, P. A. Caldwell of this place.
A short funeral service was held in the home Sunday, conducted by Rev Johnson, pastor of the M.E. church. The remains were taken to the former home in Cunvensville, Penna., leaving here on the Monday morning G. I. train. One son who was here from Pennsylvania, and his daughter and another son, Frank, with whom she made her home here in Edgar, accompanied the body.
The community extends sympathy to the bereaved ones.
