Emma Lucille Holbrook Rasmussen, our mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully August 20, 1995, in Salt Lake City.

Lucille was born August 13, 1906, in Bountiful, Utah, the daughter of Heber Angel and Martha Emma Sweeten Holbrook. Married Ward Byron Rasmussen on March 5, 1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ward passed away April 22, 1993. She was an active member of the LDS Church, where she served faithfully in many positions of service. Lucille dedicated her life to genealogy and temple work.

Survived by her children, Martha R. (husband Ray) Harding, Provo, Utah, Joan (husband Ron) Startin, Meadow, Utah, Lucille R. "Holly" (husband Jerald) Rueckert, Ward (wife Janis) Rasmussen, both Sandy, Utah; 36 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; one sister, Florence Richards, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 24, 1995, 12 noon, at the Mt. Olympus 7th Ward, 4407 So. Fortuna Way (3650 East). Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens of the Valley. Directors: Holbrook Funeral Chapel.
