Kathleen Keenan Collins, 64, of Rutland, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014.
She was born in Rutland, October 1, 1949, the daughter of William H. and Anne Marie (Welch) Keenan.
Kathleen was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy, class of 1967. In 1971, she graduated from University of Vermont School of Nursing and received her master's degree in 1974.
On August 21, 1971, she was married to John J. Collins
Kathleen was employed as a nurse at Rutland Regional Medical Center for over 30 years, retiring in 2010.
Surviving are her husband of Rutland; one son, Dan P. Collins and his wife, Shannon, of Shrewsbury and their children Riley, Dylan and Keenan Collins; one daughter, Kathryn K. Collins of Rutland; one brother, Dr. Patrick F. Keenan and his wife, Barbara, of Rutland; one sister, Eileen Keenan of Rutland; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents and by a sister, Carol Anne Keenan.
There are no visiting hours.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Church in Rutland. Officiating will be the Rev. Justin Baker, pastor. A reception will follow.
Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
