Len Carta, 58, of Kankakee, passed away Thursday (Dec. 5, 2013).

He was born Jan. 20, 1955, in Chicago, the son of Mike and Josie (nee Melto) Carta.

Len worked as a quality control service technician atMidwest Fuel Injection, Bolingbrook, for 18 years, was the president and CEO for Soft and Safe Floors, a member of
St. Martin's Catholic Church in Kankakee, a member of the National Rifle Association and former member of the Elks. He was a fan of the Chicago Bears, White Sox and Bulls.

Len is survived by his wife, Denise (nee King) Carta, of Kankakee; daughter, Lauren Carta, of Kankakee; motherin- law, Mary Lou King, of Bradley; sister, Lucille (Wally) Kuziw, of Fontana, Calif.; brothers-in-laws, Jim (Dee Dee) King, Jeff (VaLinda) King and Craig (Janet) King; nieces and nephews, Suzanne (Zac) Bilbao, Kimmy (Vic) Medrano; Jimmy Kuziw, Megan King, Meredith King, Melissa King, Alex King, Michael King, Joshua (Melanie) King, Andrew (Ashlen) King, Danielle King; great nieces and nephews, Taylor Harper, London Bilbao, Everin Bilbao, Caleb Medrano, Kayahna and Kaedyn King.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and father-in-law, Marwood King.

Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family's wishes.
