Harold "Henry" Massey, son of Alma "Marie" Mackie (1925-2019) and Leslie Herman Massey (1922-2000), was born November 7, 1943, in Grovespring, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, Missouri, at the age of seventy years, two months and one day.

Henry grew up in the Grovespring area and attended Grovespring Elementary School. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1959, at the age of 16. Henry was a Vietnam veteran, having proudly served in combat as a U.S. Army Infantryman. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.

Henry was a farmer and retired rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service.

Henry enjoyed researching genealogy with his father and continued to study family history after his father's passing. He had a passion for photography, especially family photos. He loved traveling to his second home in south Texas and enjoyed socializing with friends.
