Graveside services with full military rites for B. (A.B.) Pounds, 88, were held Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Union Cemetery in Dickson with Warren Medley officiating. Services were under the direction of Taylor Funeral Home.

Mr. Pounds, a Korean War veteran where he served in the United States Army, 82nd Medical Battalion, 12th Armor Division with rank of Master Sgt., died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005 at National Health Care Center.

He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and American Veterans.

He was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of the Al Maida Temple in El Paso, Texas and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

He moved to Dickson after retiring from 40 years in the restaurant business in El Paso and Brownfield, Texas.

Survivors include his son, Britt Pounds and his wife, Linda Cohen Pounds of Nashville; brother, Gipson Pounds of Ashdown, Ark.; sister, Quilie Hughes of Ashdown, Ark.; two grandchildren, Bethany Leigh Komisar and Zachary B. Pounds; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Ferguson Pounds, who died in 1986; and his parents, W.F. and Lola Jane Hinton Pounds.

Memorials may be made to National Health Care Center in Dickson.
