Mary M. Kimes, 82, of Stoneboro RD 2, died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, July 24, in the Greenville Hospital. Born Dec. 9, 1905, in Hendersonville, she was a daughter of Jason and Effie Mae Houston Osborne.

She was married to Leland H. "Lee" Kimes on Nov. 24, 1948 and he survives, with three sons, Daryl L. Kimes of Mercer and Robert T. Kimes and Lowry H. Kimes, both of Stoneboro; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Cathy) Burnette of Sandy Lake; two sisters, Aura Stearns of Franklin and Mrs. William (Dora) Brazel of Jackson Center; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Deceased are her parents; her first husband, Edward Brandon; five brothers; and two sisters.

Services will be at the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Towers, pastor of the Fox Street Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
