Neil L. McClain, 69, 4802 Gene field Road, died early Friday morning, Oct. 21, 1988 at a St. Joseph hospital.

He was a native and lifelong resident of St. Joseph.

Mr. McClain was employed with General Motors on the assembly line until retiring.

he was a member of St. James Catholic Church and an Army veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Moser McClain.

Surviving: two daughters, Vera Mae Bernard, De Kalb, Mo., and Brenda J. Ebling, St. Joseph; a brother, William E. McClain Sr., St. Joseph; three sisters, Marietta Canterbury, Lucy Valencia and Elsie Haberson, all of St. Joseph; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Prayer Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday, Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Funeral Home, St. Joseph.
Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph, Mo.
