Solon Buttry of Marble Hill died Monday, Oct 20, 1986 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born March 28, 1914 at Zalma a son of Ed and Rosa Summers Buttry. On Nov 14, 1937 he married Hazel Alta Taber, who survives.
Mr. Buttry is also survived by three sons, Tyra Edward of Northtown, PA; Clifford Buttry, of Portsmouth, NH, and Daniel Buttry, of Waco, TX; three daughters, Karen Lincoln, of Scopus, MO; Rena Buttry of Marble Hill, MO and Reba Leadbetter of Marble Hill, MO; two brothers, Bill Buttry of Poplar Bluff, MO and Jewel Buttry of Mazon, IL; one sister Mary Ellen Davis of Puxico, MO; 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday Oct 22, at Liley Funeral Chapel, Lutesville, MO, with Rev. Eugene Payne officiating. Burial in Bollinger County Memorial Park.
