Ada married Louis Felix Nihoul Dec 22, 1907. Ada was shot and killed by a crazed gripman who came into her hospital room in Seattle. he shot his wife and baby daughter, as well as another woman. Ada was taken back to Hoquiam for burial in the old City cemetery over the hill.Ada's husband, Louis, loved her for the rest of his life, altho he remarried, his family always remembered her. Ada was well liked at her job with the phone company, and shared rooms with her sister, Ethel, in Hoquiam before her marriage. the Stearns family had moved out to WA from Deerlodge,TN, where she had been secretary for the Sunday school class. she was born in Boon-Cadillac,MI where the family lived on Otis' farm. the grandparents raised the girls after their mother, Lillian died. after their father's second wife died in Deerlodge, and he had gone out to WA, the grandparents, Ada, Winnie, Ethel, Sadie, and Carlton all lived for a time in Fairhope, AL,on Mobile Bay. Ada won a beauty contest, they attended many dances and plays. their Uncle Albert and his family lived there also. Winnie married and moved out to CA, then up to OR, the rest followed on the train , then went to Hoquiam WA. Dark wavy auburn hair, blue eyes, MTDNA Haplogroup K
