FORT COBB Funeral for Christine Pahdongkei Kaulaity, 89, of Fort Cobb, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Fort Cobb, with Duke Tsoodle Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at TwoHatchett Cemetery, south of Fort Cobb, under direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.
Christine went to her heavenly home Monday, Dec. 30, 2013.
Prayer Service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel.
Christine was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Carnegie, to James and Lena Tainpeah Pahdongkei. She was a full-blood member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. She was also a member of First Apache Indian Baptist Church of Fort Cobb, Kiowa War Mothers, Kiowa Black Leggings Ladies Auxiliary, and OIABA Women Association. She was a talented seamstress and beadworker. She was a hairdresser and shop owner for many years as well as a dietitian at the Anadarko Hospital.
She is survived by her three sons: Larry R. Kaulaity, Goldie J. and Lila Kaulaity, and John L. McAdams; five daughters: Marian and Spike Hansson, Evangeline Kaulaity Beets, Valentine and Paul Tate Sr., Elaine and Theodore Creepingbear, and Cynthia and Howell Parton; one brother, Richard TwoHatchett; one sister, Patricia Ann Pahdongkei Bread; 25 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Lena Pahdongkei; husband, Ricky Kaulaity; daughter, Leilani Kaulaity; brothers: Don TwoHatchett and Wallace TwoHatchett; sisters: Mary Vivian Ahdokabo and Myrtle Mae King; brother-in-law, Richard Bread; four grandchildren and companion, Romer (Toots) Ahtone.
