He leaves his wife, Mrs. Margaret Hartegan; two daughters, Miss Rhonda and Miss Mildred Hartegan of the home; five sons Joseph Hartegan of Edwardsville, Richard Hartegan of 9 South Mill Street, George Hartegan, William Hartegan Jr. and James Hartegan, all of the home; one brother, Joseph Hartegan, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Garrett, both of Pueblo, Colorado.
The Rosary was recited at the Simmons Funeral Chapel. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 30th and Strong Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, followed by burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
