FROSTBURG - Elsie V. (Kyler) Rafferty, 78, of 153 Spring Street, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1992 at Frostburg Hospital. Mrs. Rafferty was preceded in death by three children, Patricia Lipinski, Thomas R. Rafferty and Norbert A. Rafferty. Survivors include her husband, Norbert G. Rafferty; three sons, Gerald K. Rafferty and wife Shirley, William L. Rafferty and wife Barbara, and Jack Rafferty, all of Frostburg; two daughters, Kathy Cryer, Kyle, Texas, and Regina Morgan, at home; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grand­children; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. by Msgr. John L. Reinsfelder. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. A Christian wake service will be conducted Tuesday at 7:30 at the funeral home. The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to Frostburg Area Ambulance, Water Street. Cumberland Times-News, December 8, 1992
