Daughter of Moses Martin and Lydia Moore of Washington County, NY. She is quoted in Asa Fitch's writings of the History of Washington County. She speaks of her father and family in the revolution. She said her mother's father was Ephraim More/Moore from Simsbury, CT.

"When sixteen years old, I married Augustus Angel. He was born at Chockset in Mas. After the war he came up to Hoosic - was a carpenter and millright by trade...only one child, Newell Angel."
