Mr. Bennar came to Nebraska in 1874, being one of the early pioneers of this part of the state. He was an industrous, hard working farmer.
He died at his home southwest of Verdigre, March 12th, aged 75 years and 5 days.
The funeral was held from the home on Friday, Rev. W.F. Herman officiating and the remains were followed by a large concourse of people to the Pleasant Valley cemetery, where interment was made.
There are left to mourn, a sister, living in Oklahoma, who was not able to be present; two sons, William and August and one daughter, Mrs. N.P. Nelson, who was also detained at home on account of sickness. Mr. William Fosterman, wife and daughter from north of Verdigre were present with other relatives.
The relatives of the deceased have the heartfelt sympathy of their many friends.
