Married Mary C. Parks in Hardeman Co., Tenn. They were married by Justice of the Peace S.F. Neely. Mary died soon after their marriage. Probably buried in Hardeman Co. Tenn. Presley served in the Civil War. After the Civil War, he married Rhoda Elizabeth Craven (b. 4-26-1850). Both Presley and Rhoda are buried at the Townsend Cemetery.

Mr. Jobe was a member of the 11th Illinois Calvary, Company C. Mustered in at Bolivar, Tn. (where the regiment was bivouacked) Sept. 5, 1862 and mustered out as Sgt. June 8, 1865. All of his brothers were Confederate soldiers but he was not.
