Martha "Marty" Sullivan, 78, of Chittenango passed away Friday at Upstate Medical Center. Born in Endicott, Marty has been a resident of Chittenango since 1955. She was a legal secretary in the NYS Court System in Wampsville for over 20 years retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Chittenango United Methodist Church. Marty was a member of the Sweet Adelines for over 20 years, the Town of Sullivan Leisure Time Club, the Red Hats Club, was an avid golfer participating in three leagues at Rogues Roost and Woodcrest Golf Club and had enjoyed bowling for many years. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Richard F. Sullivan; her son, Michael (Lora) Sullivan of Homer; her brother, Clifford (Midge) Robinson of Binghamton; her grandchildren, Jarrett, Sean and Leah; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nursing staffs at the Hills Building and the Upstate Oncology Center for the care Marty received. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the G.F. Zimmer Funeral Home, 702 legion Drive, Chittenango. Spring burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Chittenango. Calling hours will be noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service. Contributions in Marty's memory may be made to the Chittenango Lions Club, the Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum, the Oz Museum or the Town of Sullivan Leisure Time Club.
