Tom Mullins Dies in California -
Stricken by a heart attack while driving his car, Thomas R. Mullins, 59, a former resident of Atchison, died Monday at Salinas, Calif.

Mr. Mullins and his wife, Wilma, were on their way to a restaurant in downtown Salinas for dinner when he died. The car crashed through a plate glass window of a business firm when Mr. Mullins died, and his wife suffered slight injuries in the accident.

A retired railroad employee, Mr. Mullins had been a resident of Salinas for the last 35 years. He was born in the Good Intent community northwest of Atchison. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mullins, Sr. Thomas was a brother of J.H. Mullins, Atchison, founder of the Mullins Bros. Hardware Store here, who died recently.

Beside his wife, he leaves four sisters, Miss Ruth Mullins, Salinas; Miss Agnes Mullins, Kansas City; Mrs. Francis Kilkenny, Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Ethel Anderson, 420 North Third; five brothers, Lawrence Mullins, Salinas; Martin and James Mullins, Huron; Clarence Mullins, Troy; and Raymond Mullins, Atchison.

Funeral services were held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Salinas, with burial in a Salinas cemetery.
