Lloyd Bennett and Cora Dill, both of Greenfield, MO, married February 21, 1929, at Greenfield. As both were under age 21 their parents Lottie Dill and Ed Bennett gave their consent to the marriage.

Lloyd's WWII draft registration of October 16, 1940 lists him as a resident of Greenfield, MO married to Cora Wandath Bennett, and employed by Ed Bennett. He is 5'8", 145 pounds, with gray eyes, brown hair and a light complexion.

The 1940 Dade County, MO Census lists Lloyd Bennett, 29, and wife Cora, 28, with children Howard, 8 (1932-2016); Jewell, 3 (1936-1944); and Wanda Joyce, 6 months. Lloyd is a pump operator for the WPA. He and Cora completed school through the 6th grade.

Services for Lloyd were held at the Assemblies of God Church. A native of Dade County, he was a custodian for Greenfield High School 18 years. He moved to Joplin in 1972. He is survived by daughter Joyce Van Hooser, Joplin; son Howard Bennett, Greenfield; sister Nora Dill, El Dorado Springs; two brothers: Melton Bennett, Greenfield, and Ernest Bennett, El Dorado Springs; and three grandsons.
