Funeral services were held on Thursday June 24, 1976 at 10:30 am from the Grace Baptist Church, Cherokee for Mrs. Pansie Nash. Reverend Darrell Seest was the officiating clergyman.
Casket Bearers were Glen Wheeler, Roger Huntress, Dale Davis, Joe Wheeler, Richard Huntress and Freddie Cary.
Interment was made at the Oakland Cemetery near Peterson with the Baumgarten Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Pansie Vivian Nash, nee Wheeler, the daughter of Fred and Loyal bowling Wheeler was born at Reinbeck, la. on January 27,1888. She attended schools near her childhood home and graduated from Peterson High School in 1906.
She was united in marriage to Harvey Patton of Hartley in 1909 and later on May 10, 1936, she was united in marriage to Luther Nash at Omaha, Neb.
She moved with her family as a young girl to the Peterson area.
She passed away June 21, 1976 at me Spencer Municipal Hospital in the Spencer, la. at the age of 88.
Preceding her in death were her husband in 1970, parents. 2 brothers, 1 sister and 1 grandson.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Mrs. Will (Ruth) Simpson of Los Angeles,
California and Mrs. Ina Cary of Denver, Colo, five grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, four brothers, Fred Wheeler of Escondido, California, Leigh Wheeler of Arlington, S. D.; Clarence Wheeler of Waterloo, la and Charles Wheeler of Peterson and one
sister Mrs. Loyal Slough also of Peterson and other relatives and friends.
