Mrs. Chabbott, the former Miss Sadie Shipman, was a native of Jay and had spent practically her entire life in that community. Her health began to fail early in the winter, and for the last month her condition was serious.
She was survived by her husband, one son, Francis of Jay, and three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Gillman of Lake Placid, New York, and the Misses Thelma and Dora, who live at the Chabbott home.
The funeral was held from Holy Name church at Au Sable Forks, New York, Thursday forenoon, March 18, 1937, at 10 o'clock.
