Bio

I am an American mutt. The product of many different French, Irish and English immigrants who came to this country to find a home in a new land. The French did not speak English, although they learned. Most of their original names were changed to make them sound more American. Among these are Sorrell, Nelson, Burgess & Madden.

I have been researching my family tree for about 40 years. I enjoy the challenge of finding a link between a lost relative and the present generation.

I believe that who we are defines us, and our past defines who we are. I was born and raised in Au Sable Forks before the paper mill closed and turned the once prospering village into a hamlet of less than 600 folks. I have a camp on Fern Lake and spend every summer taking grave photos and updating memorials.

I do have the three volume Clyde Rabideau Clinton County Gravestone Transcriptions. If
you need help locating a grave in this area, please let me know.
