Marilyn Rains 61 of Lubbock died April 21, 2004. Services were held April 24, 2004 in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Robert Field Marilyn's cousin officiating. Internment followed in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Marilyn was born on December 11, 1942 in Lubbock to Velma Fletcher. Marilyn passed away on April 21, 2004 in Lubbock.

Marilyn was married to Jack Rains on March 13, 1960 in Lubbock, Texas. Marilyn graduated from Monterey High School in 1960; Marilyn later attended Texas Tech with her children. Marilyn was self-employed the last 10 years as a CPA. Marilyn was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Bovina and attended Highland Baptist Church in Lubbock. Marilyn was a member of Texas CPA's, National CPA's, and of Life Styles at Covenant Medical Center. Marilyn also was the managing editor of her family's monthly newsletter the McNabb Gab. Marilyn enjoyed life to the fullest and was a very giving person to those who she came in contact with. Marilyn's happiest times were seeing people around her have fun and enjoy life.

Marilyn was preceded in death by two brothers Jimmy Fletcher and Jack Frank Fletcher.

Marilyn is survived by her mother Velma Joyce Fletcher of Lubbock; Daughter Ryn Rains of Post; Son Thad Rains of Irving; Three Brothers: Jerry Fletcher of Wickenburg, Arizona, Jon Cesari of Beaumont, Texas and Charles Cesari of Sante Fe, Texas; Three Aunts; and Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
