Graveside services were to be held Saturday for Mrs. Gertrude I. Bernhard, 82, of San Antonio, who died Friday in a San Antonio hospital, at Garden of Memories with Father Norman Ermis officiating.
Born Nov. 21, 1910 in Harper, Mrs. Bernhard had been a resident of San Antonio for four years, formerly residing in Fredericksburg. She was a retired laundry worker and a member of the Catholic Church. She married Arthur W. Bernhard on July 2, 1926 in Harper. He preceded her in death in 1942.
She is survived by three sons, Charles Darrell Bernhard of Boerne, Arthur W. Bernhard, Jr. of Austin and Kenneth R. Bernhard of San Antonio; one sister, Anita Bowers of Nevada; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Those who desire may make a memorial contribution to the charity of their choice. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
