Clarence "Ike" Robert Keener Sr., 69, of McCalmont Street, Rocky Grove, died at home Thursday, June 23, 2011. Born January 3, 1942, in Jackson Township, he was the son of the late James C. and Dora H. Morrison Keener.
He retired from Pennzoil after working as a truck driver for many years. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, the Cooperstown Volunteer Fire Department, and CMA.
On August 7, 2009, he married Carol S. Blair, who survives, with sons, Ike Keener Jr. and wife, Robin, Ed Keener and wife, Cindy, John Keener and wife, Tammy, and Dusty Keener and wife, Bobbi; daughters, Gina Latchaw and husband, Elton, and Amanda Keener; and step-children, Shellie Collins and husband, George, Julie White and husband, Robert, Paula Fitzgerald, Joey Fitzgerald, Brenda McCarty, and Valerie Fields; brothers, Donald Keener of Ridgeway, Jimmie Keener and wife, Sandy, of Franklin, David Keener of Utica, and Melvin Keener and wife, Diane, of Chapmanville; and sister, Marilyn Sherman and husband, Dan, of Wattsburgh; 8 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Deceased are his parents; brothers, Jimmy Keener, Dick Keener, and Marvin Keener.
Services will be held at Gardinier Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
