AUBURN -- Audrey D. Wilson Smithler, 79, of Weedsport-Sennett Road, Auburn, died Monday, March 7, 2005, at Auburn Memorial Hospital.

Audrey was born Jan. 8, 1926, in Port Byron, the daughter of the late Oliver and Pearl Kilmer Wilson. She resided in the Auburn, Weedsport and Port Byron area for most of her life.

Audrey was a devoted mother and grandmother whose hands were never idle. She was always baking, crafting or crocheting something for her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Georgianna (Alexander) Speck of Elbridge and Lynn (Dale) Smith of Lisle; three sons, Lyle (Theresa) Smithler of Weedsport, Robert (Virginia) Smithler of Cato and Scott Smithler of Auburn; 11 grandchildren, Jeffrey and Shawn Speck, Christa McEntee, Shelly Claps, Edward, Lonnie and Marci Smithler and Christopher, Sherry, Craig and Patrick Smith; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janet Catalano of Weedsport and Bernitta (Raymond) Roe of Port Byron.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Star; a sister, Elizabeth Wilson; and two brothers, George and Oliver Wilson.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Jewell Funeral Home, 8886 S. Seneca St., Weedsport. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in the spring.
