Patrick was born in the USA. He married Mary Gabriella Sullivan on January 5th, 1892 in St Andrew' Church in Allegheny PA. and had 6 children, Francis James, Richard Lawrence, Edward, Walter and Rose. The 6th child was in infant who only lived 2 days, born 1909, named Robert James McNamara ,for who my father was named.
In the 1910 census when Patrick was 47, his wife is 37, Francis is 17, Edward 15, Lawrence 13, Walter 11 and Rose 9. There is a well known trend for the Irish to marry later in life, reportedly so they would not have more children than they could afford to raise.
Patrick worked at H. J. Porter in Railroad Repair and also was a Boiler Maker.(Perhaps this is why he later became profoundly deaf) The family lived at 1507 Orchlee St in Pittsburgh PA, and attended St Francis Xavier Church.
Patrick was a very smart man who took and developed his own photographs at home. I wish I knew more about him. He was an influence on his son Richard Lawrence, who became one of the first aerial photographers in WW1, going up in those tiny planes to take pictures of the German and Allied trenches.
His grandchildren called him "Grandpop Mack" and "Pappy Mack." Patrick died at age 64 from complications of prostate surgery. At the time of his death he worked as a "Layer Out" at Porters Locomotive Works.

His father, also named Patrick, was born in Ireland . His mother Bridgit Ryan McNamara was also born in Ireland.

He had a sister named Mary A.who became a nun named Sister Margret Mary McNamara FindAGrave Memorial # 49994250, and a brother named Michael. ( Findagrave memorial # 123368196)

Michael's daughter became a nun too, Sister Mary Nathaniel McNamara.Find A Grave Memorial# 49994269)That makes the first nun an aunt to the second nun. Both were sisters of Charity, and both are buried at Seton Hill in Greensburgh PA

Patrick's brother Michael and his wife, son, sister and grandson are buried close to Patrick, but in unmarked graves in the green lawn space at upper right in the picture

Patrick's obituary May 19th, 1926 in the Pittsburgh Daily Post, page 14.
