Son of James Bryan & Emily LeCompte Bryan, Physician and Priest∼Son of James and Emily LeCompte Bryan. Priest and Physician. Graduated at Virginia Military Institute 1843. 1sr Lieut., 1st Va. Regiment, Mexican War. Graduated Doctor Medicine, University of Maryland 1849. For 32 years School Examiner for Dorchester County. Ordered Deacon in 1856. Ordained Priest in 1893. Secretary of the Diocese of Easton 1864-1879. Ministered in Trinity Church, Church Creek, St. James Church, Taylor's Island, and as Assistant in Christ Church, Cambridge.
