Eugenia's first husband was Peter Hunot. They married June 15, 1890. On December 24, 1901 she married Eugene Blanchett. Eugenia married Water Bowman on June 1, 1933.

OBIT:

Mrs. Walter S. Bowman, 79, Pendleton resident since 1901, well known here, died Sunday morning in St. Anthony's Hospital after an illness of 17 days.

Mrs. Bowman, formerly Eugenia Ellenberger [adopted name] was born in Berne, Switzerland, and first came to Umatilla County when she was 13, living in Pilot Rock with her mother the late Mrs. Fritz Ellenberger. She came here in 1901. She and the late Mr. Bowman, a pioneer photographer, were married in 1934.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, the Rebekah Lodge, and the Pioneer Ladies Club. Surviving relatives are her daughter, Mrs. Grace Morrison, Portland; sister, Mrs. Mary Perry, Milton, Wash., two half brothers, Martin Ellenberger, Pilot Rock; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Mother of Mrs. Grace Morrison, Portland; Mrs. Thelma Johnson, Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; sister of Mrs. Mary Perry, Tacoma, Wash.; half-sister of Mart Ellenberger, Pendleton; William Ellenberger, Pilot Rock. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. Folsoms' Funeral Chapel, off-street parking for family and friends, entrance on SE 2nd St. Interment Olney Cemetery.

Here from out-of-town for the funeral of Mrs. Walter S. Bowman, Tuesday, were her daughters, Mrs. Grace Morrison, Portland, and Mrs. Thelma Johnson, Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Bowman's sister, Mrs. Mary Perry, Milton, Wash., and the latter's sons, Martin Ellenberger and Bill Ellenberger, Pilot Rock; and Mrs. Norma Kononen, Helix, granddaughter of Mrs. Bowman. Other grandchildren include Arthur Hunot, Pendleton, and Fred E. Hunot, Mariposa, Calif., the latter being unable to attend the services. Mrs. Kononen, Arthur Hunot, and Fred E. Hunot are children of the late Fred P. Hunot, son of Mrs. Bowman. He died in 1943.
