This is his wife Jane C and his infant daughter Dorothy ,and oldest child Billy, who would die at age 5 in a sledding accident. I have wondered who was there when Billy went sledding? I don't think they could have recovered from the pain. And I wonder if the stress led to Francis's early death.

30 years after Francis died, this is his wife Jane, his oldest surviving son Robert Louis, daughter-in-law Gert Gens McNamara and grandchildren Mary Eileen, Bob and Dennis. This picture was taken in the home of his daughter Jane Elizabeth, whose own daughter Nancy or Cindy is peeking out by the lamp. .
