A life long resident of Santa Maria & Nipomo, Pedro was born @ the Oceanic quicksilver mine in Cambria,Ca. The family then moved to ork a gold mine & a quicksilver mine in the Davey Brown Creek area located in the Santa inez Valley. leaving the Santa Inez Valley, the family then moved to the Deer Trail quicksilver mine located next to Bunny Porter Ranch off highway 166. The family left moving to own a grocery store in the 200 block of West main St. in Santa Maria. Pedro attened local schools & graduated feom Santa Maria high School. Pedro served in the Air force during the Korean War & was stationed overseas in England. Pedro retired from Union Local 8 of the Operator Engineers in Aroyo Grande. He was a past President of the San Luis Obispo County Charroe Association located in Nipomo. the Association hosted Mexican rodeos & traveled to complete against other Charros in the los angeles area. Pedro love for horses began as a young man riding in parades w/ his father Pedro Sr. & sister Andrea. They rode in parades locally & throughout California. Pedro continued the traditionby riding w/ his son Alex, nephew Greg Orcos,Pete Miranda, wife Brenda. The legacy of Ferrel Charros reached into the 4th generation w/ grandchildre, Celelia Monero, & Trevor Ferrel. pedro & the family rode in the Santa Maria Elks Parade, the Lompoc Flower Festival, Los Alamos parade, San LuisObispo parade & his favorite ... the Santa Barbara Feista Parade. For those memories we will never forget & shall cherish until our lat breath. Thank you Uncle Sal & Aunt Epie for being therefor Pedro.

* Pedro is survived by his sons Alex & Cindy Ferrel of orcutt, daughters Ramona (Jose)Montero of Oceano, & Rachel Ferrel f Santa Maria. Sisters Andrea (& Pete) Miranda, Juanita (& Tony) Galvan, Esperanza (& Sal) Orosco & brother in law Vincente Galvan all of Santa Maria. Grandchildren: Trevor & Stacia Ferrel of Orcuut, Cecilia Montero of Arroyo Grande, Gabriela & Danny mMontero of Oceano, Desiree Ferrel, Paul Delgadillo, Deja, Daniella, Marcella & Silviano Caldzada of Santa Maria. Great Granddaughter Damian,& Ellian Ferrel,Izaiha & Izabella Delgadillo all of Santa Maria.

** Pedro is preceded in death by his parents Pedro Sr. & Ramona Ferrel, sister Aurora Galvan, brother Manuel Ferrel Sr. , nephew Raymond Galvan Manuel Ferrel Jr., Vincent Ferrel Sr. & Steven Ferrel

** Services will be @ 11am Monday Nov 18th, 2013@ Dudley -Hoffman Mortuary, Burial will follow @ the Santa Maria Cemetery. Celebration of life to follow @ the Eagle Hall, 666 so. Clooege Ln. . In leiu of flowers.. donation can be made bt the Salvation, 210 W. Cook St.
