Mrs. Woods was a native of Sandersville and had made the Augusta area her home all her life. She was employed at Sams Club as a clerk with 15 years of service. Mrs. Woods was very active on the committee for raising money for the Children's Miracle Network at Sams Club and was a member of the Temple Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Lisa Cox, Evans, Beverly Roberts, Hephzibah, Cheryl Green, Grovetown, Melissa Newman, Hephzibah; two sisters, Judy Cenate, Augusta, Pauline Lewis, Tennille; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Woods was predeceased by one brother, Thad Helton. Serving as pallbearers are Glenn Cox, Randy Roberts, John Stewart, Keith Green, Sammy Rogers and Ashley Helton. Honorary pallbearers will be the employee's of Sams Club.
