Leah Anderson, 91, of Virginia, died peacefully at her daughter's home Friday, Nov. 22, 2013.

Leah was born March 28, 1922, in Rockhampton, Australia to the late Edward and Leah Foreman. On Feb. 8, 1944, she married William Harjamaki, a World War II U.S. soldier, and moved to the U.S. in 1945. After his passing she married Harry Anderson March 5, 1977.

Everything Leah did she did very well. She enjoyed painting, quilting and most especially gardening. She was an active member at Gethsemane Evangelical Lutheran Church and spent a lot of time at the Virginia Senior Citizens Center.

Leah is survived by her sister, Zilpah and brother, Ben, who both still live in Australia. She is also survived by her son, Jack Harjamaki (Janet), son, Robert, daughter, Merri Harjamaki (Kevin Martineau), son, Gene Harjamaki (Lori), and stepdaughter, Carol Darling.; Leah was a loving grandmother to Krista (Shawn), Kevin, Arielle, Raina (Adam), Angela (Nick), Ellis and MiKyla; and was great-grandmother to James.

Leah was preceded in death by both husbands; and 2 sons, Arnold and Bruce Harjamaki.

Burial was in Pike River Cemetery.
