James Houston Phillips, age 84, of Oneonta, Alabama passed away at St. Vincent's Blount Hospital on November 26, 2013. Mr. Phillips was a Veteran of the United States Navy and was owner of Phillips-Blalock Supply Company. He was a member of the Attalla Masonic Lodge F&AM 383.
He is preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Novela Robbins Phillips; brother, Preston Phillips and sister, Lois Stanfield.
Mr. Phillips is survived by wife, Hazel Phillips of Oneonta; son, Danny Phillips (Penny) of Orange Beach; daughter, Linda Brown (Travis) of Albertville; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and brother, Ray Phillips of Attalla. Bro. Junior Thomas will officiate graveside services on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 1PM from Oak Hill Cemetery.
