BEAM - Aquilla Beam, 1448 Victoria Ave, a resident of Niagara Falls since its incorporation in 1904, died Sunday at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 82. Born in Stevensville, he was a member Lodge No. 105, A.F. & A.M., and was very active in the Kitchener Street United Church, where he was a member of the church choir all his adult life until a few weeks ago. Mr. Beam was one of the founders of the Union Church that originally stood on the site of the present Kitchener Street United Church. Active in musical circles in the city, he was a long time member of Temple Male Choir. Until his retirement 16 years ago, Mr. Beam was a supervisor at the Canadian Carborundum Company for more than 35 years. Predeceased by his wife, the former Edith Acland on January 25, 1959, Mr. Beam is survived by one daughter, Miss Mabel Beam at home; three sisters, Mrs. Daniel (Margaret) Luther, Warren, Rhode Island, Mrs. William (Nettie) Smeaton, Chippawa and Mrs. Jesse (Marie) Climenhage, Stevensville.
