Katherine Badwey, 96, formerly of Altoona, died early Saturday morning at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Elias and Hannah (Abdallah) Badwey.
Surviving is a sister, Elizabeth of Hollidaysburg. She was preceded in death by two brothers: George and Jack.
Katherine, along with her brother Jack, was co-owner of a neighborhood store for many years.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or funeral service. Interment will be made at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona.
