Fred J. Glatfelter

HANOVER JUNCTION – Fred J. Glatfelter, 79, Hanover Junction, Glen Rock RD 2, a retired welder, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 1983, at Memorial Osteopathic Hospital, where he had been a patient five weeks. He was the husband of Elda (Shearer) Glatfelter.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Zion (Shaffer's) Lutheran Church, near Seven Valleys. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. There will be no viewing tonight. Friends may call at the church Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock, has charge of arrangements.
Born in North Codorus Township to the late Charles and Rosetta (Bortner) Glatfelter, Mr. Glatfelter was a lifelong resident of the Hanover Junction area.
He was a welder at McKay Chain Co., York, retiring in 1965. He was a member of Zion (Shaffer's) Church and Sunday school and of Glen Rock Hose and Ladder Co.
Surviving are his wife and a brother, Charles Glatfelter, Red Lion.
The Rev. Clarence Moore, Mr. Glatfelter's pastor, will be assisted in the service by retired pastor the Rev. Dr. Kenneth S. Ehrhart.
