Ex-Newspaper Man Who Died In California to Be Buried in Riverview Cemetery.

The body of Scott Bozorth, formerly a Portland newspaper man and real estate and insurance broker, who died in Pasadena, Cal., Saturday from ulcer of the stomach, will be brought here for burial. The funeral will be held from the Holman chapel Friday at 2 P.M. Interment will be in Riverview cemetery.

Scott Bozorth was a resident of Portland for nearly 18 years, coming here from Salem, and at first engaging in newspaper work. He was born 60 in Washington and when he came to Oregon went to Astoria. Later he removed to Salem, where he became associated with the Statesman and the Pacific Homestead.

Fur the greater portion of his residence in Portland he was connected with the Bay City Land company and was perhaps best known in this capacity. Nearly two years ago he retired from active business and moved to California for his health. Since then he has been living in Pasadena.

He was married in 1890 to Elizabeth F. Dearborn of Salem and she survives him with one son, Richard Milton Bozorth of Pasadena, and two brothers, John O. Bozorth of Bay City, Or., and Milton B. Bozorth of Portland. A daughter, Ruth, born to the union, died in 1909. E. Shelley Morgan of Portland is a brother-in-law.

Mr. Bozorth was an active member of the First Methodist Episcopal church, serving for many years on the official board and as chairman of the music committee. He was also a member of the Woodmen of the World and Masons.
