Sudden Death of Ex Sheriff
Ex Sheriff John Muirheid, of No 23 Wall Street, this city, died suddenly of heart disease at his residence about six o'clock last evening. At the time of his death, he was the general ledger bookkeeper of the Merchanics National Bank and was at his post uesterday morning. He was sixty seven years of age and highly respected. In November, 1858, he was sworn in a Sheriff of Mercer County and he held the office until November 1861. He will be buried on Friday at noon, Interment at Pennington Cemetery.
