Born in Györköny, Hungary, Eva was the only daughter of Rosina Gaug and Joseph Schuckert. She had a brother Adam and four step brothers and four step sisters by Joseph's second wife, Magdelena Wenhardt. She immigrated in 1904 and married Dan Emery 02 Nov 1913 in Akron OH. She was mother of 16 children.
