MR. JAMES DAVID WILLIAMS, JR., age 81, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Monday, November 18, at Southerland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Chris Dotson and Rev. Daniel Cook officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Williams was a native of Dodge County and a deacon and charter member of Grace Baptist Church. He was a Gideon, a member of Eugene Smith Masonic Lodge, and a veteran of the U. S. Army where he served in the Korean War. He was a retired civil service employee of Robins Air Force Base and was the son of the late Kate Braswell Williams & James David Williams, Sr. He was preceded in death by a Sister – Betty Williams and 3 Brothers – Robert Williams, Billy Williams and Bobby Williams.
The family may be contacted at the Williams residence, 5833 Pine Drive, Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:30PM until service time Monday, November 18. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Grace Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 811, Eastman, GA 31023 and The Gideons International.
