Funeral services for Mary Boecker Altimore, age 92, of Needville, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville, with burial following in Greenlawn Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Band will officiate the services. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, May 27, and from 8 a.m. until noon Tuesday, May 28, at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Chapel in Needville.

Mrs. Altimore died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at her home. She was born November 13, 1909 in Welcome to parents, Henry and Emma Hoffman Boecker. She was a longtime resident of Needville and a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ.

Her husband, Tony Altimore, preceded her in death, along with her parents; her brothers, Robert and Harry Boecker; and her sisters, Ellie Meyen and Lydia Hartmann.

She is survived by her sons, Melroy Altimore of Beasley, Lee Altimore and wife, Helen, of Needville, Charles Altimore and wife, Diana, of Needville; grandchildren, Leonard Altimore and wife, Beverly, of Needville, Michael Altimore and wife, Debbie, of Needville, Charlotte Aguilar and husband, Rueben, of Needville, Wanda Eiteman and husband, John, of Needville, Linda Altimore of Houston, Elaine Powers and husband, Keith, of Lolita, Tammy Sangalli and husband, Marc, of Wharton, Charles Horton and wife, Jennifer, of Needville, Chad Horton and wife, Kim, of Lake Jackson; great-grandchildren, Jessica Kainer, Joshua Sangalli, Kyle and Rachel Altimore, Travis Aguilar, Zachary Eiteman, Caitlyn and Cody Horton, Drew and Troy Vela; her brother, Oswald Boecker and wife, Lydia, of Brenham; her sisters, Minnie Mikel of Sugar Land, Hilda Hedt and husband, Walter, of Needville; sister-in-law, Alice Boecker, of Conroe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests that memorial gifts be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ, 9018 Church Street in Needville.
