Virgil Howard Crawley, 67 of Laurel, Indiana passed away on February 27, 2007 at 1:17 a.m. at his residence. His death was unexpected.

He was born on January 22, 1940 in Connersville, Indiana and was one of six children of Ron and Mary Leona Purcell Crawley.

On September 6, 1960, he married in Tyner, Kentucky to Ulene Burch of Garrison Creek in Fayette County, Indiana. For more than 34 years he was employed at Ford Electronics and Refrigeration. He retired in 1997. During his leisure time he enjoyed hunting for mushrooms and ginseng, riding quads, working as an auto mechanic and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ulene Crawley; six children, Maud Parsons, Nate (Anita) Crawley, and Aaron Crawley, all of Laurel, Helen Crawley (Jason) Meredith, Lucille (Scott) Lovins, all of Greensburg and Shannon (Richard) Crawley of Laurel; twelve grandchildren; Jessica Crawley (Tim) Hamilton, Jenny Crawley, Nathanel Crawley, Josiah Crawley, Colt Maggard, Kaitlin Crawley, Aaron Lovins, Jessica Lovins, Jake Lovins, Nikki DeHaven, Chassity Maggard and Cheyene Maggard; two great-grandchildren, Elijah Hamilton and Kaley Josalin Leona Lovins; two sisters, Gaynell Burch of Alpine, Ind. and Florence Robinson of Connersville; two brothers, Robert Crawley of Alquina, Ind. and Leroy Crawley of Falmouth, Ind. and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary Crawley; son, Raymond Crawley; sister, Marcella "Dude" Selby and son-in-law, Paul Parsons.

Visitation services will be from 4 - 8 p.m. on Friday, March 2 at the Family Worship Church in Bloomington Grove. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 3 at 2 p.m. at the church with Reverend Tom Marshall officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel North Cemetery.

Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
