Hattie, daughter of the late C. O. and Julia Aitcheson Bushnell, was born at Rock Prairie, northeast of Manchester, Jan 10, 1877, grew to young womanhood there and received her education in the township schools. Her marriage to Earl Landis was solemnized in Manchester July 2, 1907, and the home was established at Greeley. Several years ago the family moved to Protivin, Ia., their home since.

Survivors are the husband, one son, Melvin; two grandchildren, Shayla and Billie; four brothers, Myron Bushnell of this city, Alva of Saskatoon, Canada, Glenn of Oelwein and Elmer of Rockford, Ill.

Mrs. Landis had affiliated with the Methodist church for many years, and in earlier life was a member of the Rebekah lodge. She was a deeply religious woman greatly interested in her church. Her chief concern was for the members of her household, and her passing brings a great sorrow to the husband and son. In their bereavement they have the earnest sympathy of many friends.
