Samuel Barger Jr. was the son of Samuel Barger and his second wife, Sarah Ann Davidson. He was married to Theodoshia Bowling, daughter of Eli Bowling and Armilda Hacker of Clay Co. They were the parents of the following children:

Alafair Barger 1896 m. Robert West
Flora Barger 1897 m. Joseph Campbell
Sara Barger 1898 (This may be Flora)
William Barger 1899 died young
Estill Barger 8-23-1901
Dudley Barger 1904-1939 m. Maggie Burns

Note Family members believe that Samuel Jr. may have been part of a family cemetery that was not moved when Buckhorn Lake was built and their graves rest at the bottom of the lake now.
