Esther E. Latta, age 79, of 253 Willow St., East Canton, died Saturday [SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Date of death was 24 April 1993] in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. She was an East Canton area resident for the past 30 years. Retired from the Canton Local School District as a teacher and guidance counselor in 1975 after 25 years of service. Member of Christ Presbyterian Church, Canton, State Teachers Retirement System, the Stark County Retired Teacher Assoc. and the East Canton AARP. A graduate of Mapleton Rd. High School and Kent State University.

Survived by her husband, Donald G. Latta Sr; two sons, David of Louisville, Donald, Jr. of Murrysville, PA; four grandchildren, Krystal Morrow, Victoria Hummel, both of Canton, Sara and Ann Latta of Murrysville, PA: three great-grandchildren, Valerie and Dale Morrow, Dennis Hummel.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Christ Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bruce G. Boak officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 6 - 9 p.m. in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home, East Canton and Tuesday one hour before the services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Presbyterian Church.
