Mrs. Ardath G. Petruney, 88, passed into the next life at 2:10am, Friday, November 08, 2013, in the Rouse Warren County Home following a brief illness. She was born February 6, 1925 in Kelletville to the late John S. and Edna L. Beck Pierson.
A lifelong area resident, Ardie was a member of Sheffield United Methodist Church and the Sheffield Senior Center.
Ardath is survived by two sons, Richard J. Petruney and wife Sharon, Sheffield and Randy J. Petruney, Sheffield; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ardie was preceded in death by her husband John Petruney, whom she married February 26, 1946 in Sheffield; two sisters Marie Boardman and Doris Danielson; and five brothers Karl, Harley, Allen, Harry, and Maurice Pierson.
Funeral and committal services will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at 1:00pm in the BordenLloyd Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Johnson, pastor, Sheffield United Methodist Church officiating. Friends and family will be received Monday evening, November 11, 2013, from 7:00 9:00pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sheffield Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Sheffield United Methodist Church.
