Born near Berryvill, Ill., Oct. 9, 1891, he was the son of William and Susan Wooden Joseph. His wife, Goldie Hampton Joseph, two sisters, two brothers, and two half-brothers preceded him in death.
His survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Loraine Malone of Robinson, Mrs. Betty Jackson of West Union, Mrs. Dorothy Stovall of Olney, and Mrs. Hazel Emmons of St. Francisville; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Joseph was a retired Baltimore & Ohio Railroad section worker.
Funeral rites will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday from Sivert Funeral Home in Sumner, followed by interment in Sumner Cemetery.
Friends may call in the funeral home after 6 p.m. Friday.
