Mildred "Mimi" Eason, 95, went to be with Jesus, Sunday, November 3rd, 2013. She was born in Montezuma, Kansas, September 2nd, 1918, to Hannah Smith Wiens and Bernard Burgan Wiens. She married the love of her life, Raymond Laurel Eason, June 9th 1939. She and Ray raised their family in Winton, California.
Mildred had strong faith and was a prayer warrior all of her life. She spent decades as a Children's Ministries teacher for the Old Mennonite Church of Winton. For many years she attended the Aglow Christian ladies group with her sisters. Later in life she was an active member of the Ladies Ministries at Christian Life Center in Merced, California.
Mildred had an outgoing personality and lived her life to the fullest. She was very proud to have earned her high school GED at Merced Adult School. She loved to go flying with Ray, in their small private plane. Mildred enjoyed painting, gardening, and up into her late 60's she was participating in aerobics classes 5 days a week. For her own enjoyment she played the harmonica and sometimes the organ.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Sophie Eason of Cathy's Valley, California; son and daughter -in-law, George and Jeanette Eason of Plainsburg, California; and Robert and Lisa Eason, of Waco, Texas. Mildred was also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
