Lester Elwin Etheridge, 87, of McComb, MS died November 6, 2013 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Etheridge was born December 7, 1925 in Gloster, MS. He was the son of the late Sy Garret and Ella Hutchinson Etheridge.
Visitation will be Thursday evening at Jones Family Funeral Services from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. and will continue Friday from 10:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Bro. Kelvin Boone will officiate. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.
Mr. Etheridge was an accountant for many years with Crosby Lumber Company and Seago Lumber Company. He also loved to bowl and play golf.
Mr. Etheridge was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Willie Huff and Avanell Brown; five brothers, Albert Etheridge, Howard Etheridge, Russell Etheridge, Woodrow Etheridge and Emerson Etheridge.
Survivors include his wife Hulene B. Etheridge of McComb; one stepdaughter, Sharon Allen Yarborough and husband, Jerry of Jayess; two brothers-in-law, Ed Boyd and Dexter Boyd and wife, Lois; two sisters-in-law, Dot Shaw and Norene Roberts; two grandchildren, Ken Yarborough and wife, Paula, Jennifer Woods; two great grandchildren, Maggie Woods and Maxin Yarborough and husband, David and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to LifePointe Church of the Nazarene in McComb, MS.
